I wander’d lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,

A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretch’d in never-ending line

Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,

In such a jocund company:
I gazed — and gazed — but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;

And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

William Wordsworth described poetry as the “the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings from emotions recollected in tranquility…” in the preface to his Lyrical Ballads. Romanticism born from nature.

I keep going back to classic documents of faith.

The Constitution…

“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity…”

The Declaration of Independance…

“…with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.”

The Koran…

“He both hears and knows.”

The Bible (Matthew 6:9–13)…

“…forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation…”

The Torah…

“Competition is not your real enemy — fear is. Choosing to follow the path of safety will cost you opportunities that will often be far greater than the potential losses you might incur on a riskier path.”

They don’t matter. They can’t affect our well being.

We can choose to see happiness. We can choose to see the truth.

we can color in any future we want.

bonehead shit happens. we got it. it’s tough. we got it. let’s move on. and start over. not from the place of all the issues but in a new space.

as my neighbor said… in ten years when he looks back at this time he wants to say ‘that was the best thing that ever could have ever happened.’

we have a choice. between fear and love. don’t get caught in the lower conversations. we can change our approach. we can challenge convention and we can nurture a new way of being.

to teach is to demonstrate. so let’s start teaching.
to give is to get. so let’s start giving.

in motion. in action. in love.

pick up a new color and get started.

no time like today.

>Dudes… you got spanked. and hurt a lot of people. Take your lumps. Dust yourself off. and get back to work. with integrity. with a righteous (right minded) approach to doing business. awake and aware.

We don’t want to hear the cowardly lions looking around for courage, and god knows we don’t need anymore scarecrows looking for their brains.

You possess both courage and brains, you used them to figure out all kinds of bullish ways to get us into this mess. So. It’s time to use both to get us out.

We don’t need to hear anymore about bonuses when you’re sucking the public tit. We don’t need to hear “what could we do?” and my favorite “I don’t know.” and, if you even think about whining about how ‘tough’ it is… think about the retired dude whose savings were wiped out and is now a greeter at Walmart living with his 90 year old mother.

I repeat.

Get your balls out of a drawer, strap them on and figure your shit out.

The country is waiting.
